First half term in the Bridge
It has been an absolute pleasure to get to know each of the children who are a part of the Bridge and meet all of their parents this half term. There have been some changes to our day but we think they have coped well with a new teacher and the different routines.
To give you a flavour of our day we start with an early morning settling activity and then all take part in more structured learning following the same curriculum lessons as the rest of the school – Book Club, English and Mathematics. It has also been great to see some of the children going into their classes for some or all of their lessons.
In the afternoons we have lots of time to explore different activities such as science experiments, art and craft or cooking.
After half term we will be welcoming two new members of staff – Miss Murphy and Miss Bentliff – plus Mrs Lethaby is returning to our team. This means we can offer even more support for each of the children in the Bridge and we will be sending home a letter at the end of the next week detailing who will be supporting your child throughout the day.
After half term we will also be having PE from Planet Education on a Friday afternoon, so please do make sure your child has their PE kit in school all week in readiness for this.
Finally, watch this space for more updates as the next half term progresses and have a good rest of the holiday. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back on Monday morning.
