Hello Year 6!
We hope you had a wonderful long Easter weekend with your family and have woken up feeling well and bounding with energy for a great day! You may well have enjoyed lots of chocolate over the last couple of days – Yum! If you are bursting with energy in its physical and creative forms, why not try some of today’s activities?
Have a great day.

Fun Daily Activities
Now for those of you who woke up with lots of energy, make sure you get your daily physical exercise in. What will you do today? A walk? A bike ride? An exercise class from the internet? Maybe, you could take the place of Joe Wicks today and lead a family PE session. Make sure you give them lots to do to wear them out. Remember, it’s important to exercise to stay healthy.
Some colouring-in fun
Try to draw this 3D picture
Look very carefully at the lines and think which lines are important to draw first. Colour in a similar way to the example following their pattern – you can change the choice of colours to whatever you want.
St Mark’s Bake Off
Today’s recipe is for some delicious Mars bar squares from the ‘Baking Mad’ site.
Easter Maths Fun
For all you budding mathematicians, there will be some maths tasks you can get involved with each day.
Why not try a game of ‘Strike it Out’ today?
Spring time English
Something unusual has happened in the Aquadrome, Basingstoke. Since it has been closed to humans, the giraffes have moved in. Watch this short video on the link below and then write a newspaper article for the Basingstoke Gazette. Remember to give it a catchy headline.
Share your work!
We’d love to share a piece of artwork your child has done. It can be of anything – a rainbow for the NHS, a piece of home learning, a poster, a drawing, a painting, a design, anything! Just make sure you only send in a photo of the work, not the child or anything on the photo that may identify them (e.g. full name). Simply email it to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do the rest! We’ll make a video montage of it, and share it on our website. We would love to have as many entries as possible. Closing date is Sunday 19th April!
