10th September Newsletter – Important FOSM Meeting, Key Information Sessions, Parents’ Evenings and more
A note from Mr Applegate
Your children have been a delight! We’ve had an amazing week, and it’s been great to see how the children have settled in so quickly and enjoyed being back at school.
In worship this week, we learned about ‘growing’ – we are all growing in lots of different ways, and we’ll grow across the year too. Not only in height and shoe size but in our reading skills, frienships, confidence, kindness, handwriting and so much more. Ask your child about the plant they are growing in class!
Our new Year R children have settled in so well this week, and will be wearing their school uniforms next week for their next step into ‘big school’. They’ve been great.
As always, please don’t hestiate to contact us if you have any questions. And please join us for the FOSM PTA Meeting on Tuesday. We need you!
Have a great weekend, Mr Applegate.

FOSM – Support Our School!
The ‘Friends of St Mark’s’ (FOSM) was formed early in the life of the school. All parents are automatically members and our committee organises social events for children and adults and fund-raising events such as Key Stage discos, Easter Egg Hunts and Summer Fun days.
Over the last few years the ‘Friends’ have donated money that has contributed towards extra resources to benefit the children at St. Mark’s which has included playground equipment, books for the school library, and general school funds. We are now a registered charity, too. Charity number: 1188879
