What an adventure…..continued!

Wow, what a way to end last half term’s learning, with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations! It was so special to come together as a whole school on such a sunny day; singing, dancing and having fun together. The Year R children particularly enjoyed eating their lunch with their buddies and sharing an extra playtime on the field. Did your child mention that Her Majesty was able to drop in to see us too?!

We are continuing on our hot air balloon adventure this term, taking off from Windsor castle on Tuesday. We are looking forward to finishing our journey around the world and also look forward to our special events along the way; sports day, our trip to Bucklebury Farm Park and our mock wedding!

You can find out more about our topic and other learning for this half term in our newsletter here.

During this term we will also be preparing the children for the changes which will come in September when they move up to Year 1. Please be assured that we will approach this very carefully and ensure that all the children are prepared as best as we can. We will be arranging story swaps with the Year 1 staff soon, and they will visit the classrooms for some of these too. We will let you know via the Walk and Talk board when these have happened so you can follow it up at home that day.
