Amber Weather Warning
The Met Office has issued an amber extreme heat warning for parts of southern and eastern England and south Wales.
The warning, is valid for Monday and Tuesday and warns of temperatures peaking at 35C (95F).

Helping our children keep cool:
As an Amber warning has been issued we have made the following adaptations to our policies for this period:
- Children may opt to wear our Active School Uniform all week as this is often looser fitting. This must still follow our uniform policy i.e a white or navy t-shirt, navy shorts, skorts, or summer green gingham items.
- If your child wears sandals they must also wear socks.
- Children may bring in handheld personal fans if you feel they can be safe with them. We will have larger fans in the classroom and obviously will increase ventilation.
- Children’s time outside in the sun will be reduced during the day. We will utilise as much of our shaded areas as possible and have calmer, less active play activities available for break times.
- Please do send in sun cream if you would like the children to reapply but make sure to name the bottle.
- Please send in sun hats and water bottles (we will refill these during the day).
- Further advice can be found below: Information about Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke and Guidance from the NHS
