Dear Parents and Carers,
It appears the weather is not on our side. The forecast for the next few days is poor and the amount of rain is increasing each time I look at the forecast.
A significant difficulty is that even if it is not fully raining on sports day, the ground itself will be cold and damp from the recent rain, making it all unpleasant and potentially unsafe. Further, sports day on a damp, cold day isn’t really enjoyable for anyone.
Therefore, we have made the decision to postpone sports day to Friday 12th July. The arrangements will stay the same, just the date change.
We hope that the advanced notice will help any rearrangements that need to be made.
Please note a hot dinner will now be available on Friday 14th. The choices are Thai Beef Red Curry or Cheese & Tomato Pasta.
We apologise for the change and appreciate your understanding.
Kind regards

Sports Day 7th June 2019
Due to the weather forecast, a decision has been made to postpone Sports Day tomorrow.
Please ensure your child brings in a packed lunch as there will be not hot food available.
It will now take place on Friday 14th June, we are hoping for better luck with the weather next week!
It is the time of year when children start to worry about moving up a year or leaving to go to a new school. This is normal and we all have “what if” moments. It’s about knowing what is normal to you and what you can do to help yourself.
Here are some top tips, which I have found from the Hampshire Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) website (details below):

I have included some helpful websites which have tips on relaxation and mindfulness, plus a wonderful service called Relax Kids. Kath runs sessions with children to empower them with techniques for relaxation.

I hope you find this information both helpful and useful.
