23rd January 2026 Newsletter – Disco, Parkrun, Careers Fair update and more

A few notes from Mr Applegate

  • It’s been another busy (and rather wet!) week at St Mark’s. The children are working so hard, and we continue to be very proud of them. We can’t believe that half-term is only 3 weeks away.
  • It was great to have so many parents attending the Papaya webinar on Tuesday. If you missed it, there are 2 more in February  – details below.
  • Disco – parents MUST book tickets by today, FRIDAY 23rd January – Click here This is due to organisational and safeguarding reasons.
Have a great weekend! Mr Applegate

Careers Fair postponed

Unfortunately we’ve had not enough take-up to run our careers fair, so have decided to postpone it to another date.

Park Run

Lovely to see some existing and some new faces at the Junior Park Run last Sunday after our launch in the Worship that week. We are now officially a “Park Run School”! Well done for those that got out in the cold and the mud and ran their 2K with super smiley faces. There were lots of St Mark’s parents cheering on too!
Every Sunday, 9am, Stratton Park. 🙂

Activewear and Underwear Donations for ages 5 to 7

Year 1 have run out of spare clothing for their children.  If you have any suitable activewear or underwear that you would be able to donate, please can you send it into one of the Year 1 classes? Thank you so much.

Papaya Webinar for all parents

A really helpful webinar to help parents understand the impact of tech and smartphones on children’s mental health, and how to support them.
