7th May Newsletter – Parents’ Evenings, Photos, Vacancies and more

A note from Mr Applegate

Doesn’t Bank Holiday Monday seem like ages ago?! It’s been another busy week at St Mark’s and the children continue to work hard. On Tuesday, 5 of our musicians from Year 5 played the Star Wars theme and recorded this on video for us all to enjoy. The force was definitely with us.

I met with our PE team yesterday to talk through Sports Day. We unfortunately can’t do our usual events with parents, relatives and friends joining us. We will however be doing a series of events within school hours for just the children to take part in. Who will win the trophy this year I wonder?

Some parents have asked about restrictions ending at St Mark’s – particularly as the 21st June Roadmap date looms, as well as much talk in the media about restrictions finishing. Please do bear with us. We have to await government guidelines for school to be updated – they may be different to the national guidelines. Either way, we will respond to any changes in a sensible yet cautious approach.

Have a wonderful weekend! Charles.

Class Photos

Class photos will be taken on Monday 17th May. We are aware of children who shouldn’t have their photo taken, but if you would like your child not to be in this photo, please do let the class teacher know.
